And make EVERY page? You can do it, I guess, but you should have a system to read pages based on data so that others can make pages. It would also make it so you can download pages without updating the engine every single time. Plus, then you'd find how well your algoritms work.
That would be totally fine, as long as credit is given wherever credit is due (so that goes for other's programs too). I'd actually be happy about that.
If you want to publish an eshop game or a computer game, or whatever, then other experience is required to start doing that. But SmileBASIC is independent on it's own and is a comparatively simple language to learn the basics.
As for screen size, the top is 400x240 pixels, and the bottom is 320x240 (though don't quote me on the bottom).
There may not be a duplicate variable on the line, but one of those variables have probably already been defined in the scope (as it looks like it's in the global scope right now). Search for other VAR statements that may be causing this.
Wow, it's been FOREVER. RPG Log 24: So, even though my April Fools was a 'The Axe' update, I have been working on it. So far I've added a new attack system which can be more or less damaging based on a charge, a new town and cutscene, a new type of battle where it doesn't matter if you're defeated. I've been doing some planning too. I'm working on making armors work. Hopefully that'll work out.
April Fools jokes are what make this day interesting. It helps you be on your feet for normal false information. Or helps you avoid/enjoy pranks. As long as they don't go too far. Plus, it's a nice relief from people being way too serious. I, of course, did not make any April Fools jokes. That would be 'foolish' of me.
Not really a good estimate. I assure you, I am working on it, just not as intently (so many distractions, like math, even though I love math). It might be in the summer where I have more time.
Snoop, I messed up. It's 5KK8NXKX. The notable mistake is the K at the end actually being an X. Sorry.
Thanks for following the development of The Axe!
Now buy the merchandise >:D
Well, I won't tell you the exact code (as that's not how you learn), but here's what you need:
A function that gets a certain amount of characters from the LEFT side of a string
A loop that goes for the length of a string
A BEEP in every iteration of the loop
And of course a print command.
Brave these waters nobly, my friend.
I know I've been inactive recently, but I've been working hard! RPG RELEASE 1.0! I've been working very hard and have completed my RPG! I won't spoil anything, just try it out! [5KK8NXKK] Enjoy, and thanks for fallowing the development of The Axe!
He's not trolling, you fool. Can't you see the obvious screenshot? I've been playing this for the last half hour, it works wonderfully. I know what I'm going to do for the next day.
Yes, there is a huge library of content that you can download, some that could be worth 1-2 dollars on their own. Plus, with 176 Programs pages and 85 Game pages (games count as programs) on SmileBASIC Source that may be worth at least 50 cents, there is so much value in this program from the users themselves. Plus you can learn to program if you want. That's also worth it.
An RPG where people and animals die unexpectedly and from no identifiable cause, and the hero(es) must find the reason for this oddity before mass panic and death occur.
In other words, SmileBASIC is the easiest language I've learned, excluding languages I've marked as being 'too simple'. (with no variables or otherwise memory access, for example)
If you want to make ACTUAL games (and not browser games), then SmileBASIC is the best start, as it is easier to understand the basics. If you want to make browser games, learn a bad language. Err, I mean JavaScript. Block coding goes nowhere. (opinions may be in this comment. Read at your own risk)
