Well, actually, according to Miiverse's Code of Conduct, if any post infringes on someone's copyright or is found offensive, it can get taken down. I don't think it results in a ban but it's not allowed under the Code.
It doesn't exactly give you tutorials, but by looking at the code for the built in samples and seeing what they do, reading the manual, messing around with it, and pressing the 'Help' button to see what each command does, you can pretty easily teach yourself. It just takes some time and patience! It's pretty fun when you figure it out :)
It's not that you can't... But it's still darn annoying. It's not a legal copy anyways. It violates copyright on Scott Cawthons game, so it's bound to get taken down again very soon. And it's annoying the amount it's all over the place every time it's reuploaded, it's unoriginal and not fair to Scott who worked hard to make this game. Pay the $3 instead of getting a 'pirated-ish' clone.
It showed some of SmileBASIC's potential through while it lasted, but it's still not something fair to be uploading. I agree, attempts to reupload it should really cease.
Fully agreed. Its already annoying enough having the first one reuploaded, taken down, reuploaded again, taken down again, over and over... And the amount of these posts spamming the community each time is also ridiculously annoying. Just get the app on mobile or PC!
You misspelled 'Same' in your comment line as 'sama'! Unless you misspelled 'Saitama' and you're supposed to enter the next command with one punch... Lol, you might not get it if you've never seen One Punch Man :P
I won't be able to post screenshots of POLYGON's next patch until sometime after this weekend, I can't connect my 3DS to internet. Most features are now added including an enemy indicator, options saving, and smarter power-ups, after that it's back to bugfixing! If you found a bug in POLYGON 1.0, please report it here! It helps a lot :D
Still working on it, I'm just away for Summer and can't connect my 3DS to the Internet. Making the power-ups smarter is kind of tricky but I think I've found it out, so I just have to add option saving and resetting as well as the enemy indicator before this patch is released!
I used to have it... can't remember where I found it. Yes it was made by Pocky, I think he was in the Japanese SmileBASIC community so try looking there?
It would be interesting to see how this turns out. Also, Terraria being a 2D Minecraft is debatable, what with the large amount more of resources, accessories, enemies, bosses, environments, etc. They have similar base concepts, but are fairly distinguishable. Either way, looks good so far!
Unless you use one of 30+ built in songs. Also, pressing the question mark button while a command is highlighted will tell you the arguments and a brief description of any built in command, useful for quick reference :)
Nice! Maybe in the next update I'll make the background brighten as it nears the center when a color where all RGB values are under 128 are used, so the sine color function still has an effect. Or would that ruin it?
As for gameplay, I've planned a new enemy indicator that points to newly spawned enemies on the outside of the screen, and Metacube rewards are 'smarter' so you don't get powers rendered useless by custom spawns, such as not getting FLIP if Pointers are disabled.
Wow, even my initialization routines can take up a lot of space! I'm still working on POLYGON Patch 1.0.1, currently adding options saving and automatic loading on startup so you can quickly jump into the game with your favorite settings ;) I'm also adding a 'reset options' button to revert them to defaults.
He just needed help with something, he didn't say 'check this out' or 'coming soon', he was asking how to fix a bug with his program. Figuring these things out helps you learn what to do next time.
My new personal best at POLYGON using the default settings! I got the VANISH power-up but my luck with its 75% chance to have enemies miss ran out pretty quick XD
