I have a question that needs an answer. I believe i could make some games that are better than my games now, if I knew how to make it detect background collisions. So just to clearify, i need to know how to make it detect a collision between a sprite and background layers. Please help me

Hey, everyone! Me and my brother (one of my beta tester type people, named Jeremiah) made this little engine thingy real quick. It's a multiplayer only side scroller engine. it can only go up to 2 players right now. Go ahead and try it out and let me know what you think. Key-[ RSC4S34J ]
There are like 7ish bosses and as for the names I don't really know, up till now I have just called them knight boss, dragon boss, and pirate boss. And thanks about the Pirate, I'm not that good at pixel art, I took the built in green guy sprite and changed him around a little. I think he turned out pretty well. (The reason I say 7ish bosses is because I like packing my games with Easter Eggs ;)
Alright everybody, Pirate boss now in development. I hope all of you are going to enjoy this game :) (the reason I haven't made a lot of progress in the past week or so is because I have been fixing some bugs and Black Ops 3 ;)
Try making a gravity variable like G then every tick your sprite has a certain variable equals like 1 make G increase by like .12 so then you would have this for your Y axis for your sprite Y=Y+G
hope this helps :)
