No offense, but you're just being another beggar, Yeah CS is great and may be port-able to SB, but fact of the matter is it's purchasable through the eShop. Why take the extreme effort to port a game, basically to avoid paying for it.

There is a whole intro course to Java on code academy. Also plenty on YT. If you want a proper text book I can recommend a couple.

Learning the basics just read the manual and do small exercises, use your brain and start combining concepts. There are just some things that are hard to figure out (like spanim) and you can ask specific questions.

The sprites are really good. Only thing is the player ship is really basic compared to the other sprites.
