but if you are using sprites then you can use sprite collision to detect that the cursor is on the "i" then have it programed that when the colison is true and the a button is pushed then it loads what you want.
are you using bgtiles to do that bcause if you are then when you push a you can use bget to get the bg number of the tile and then if it equals the bgtile "i" then it loads what ever you want it to do you understand?
I have friends of mine come up and be like what are you doing? I just say somthing like ,"oh I am just making a game".most of the time they will watch witch makes me nervous so I put it away and talk to them instead. I can't program with people watching over my shoulder. lol
No you can probably do it in the same way just have it load the map instead of placing bgtiles ,but that's just how I do it I'm sure there's more ways.
The way I do it is once you get to the loading piont the screen is cleard and then replaced with different bgtiles and boinderies so realy it's the same map but just gets rebuilt in a different way to make it appear as if you have warped to another area.
so i have never realy played a top down rpg.(whitch is exactly why i'm making this in the first place lol) So i whould love to know some ideas that you guys whould want in my game.So please tell me what you like/don't like about tloz franchise and why thanks : )
