I'm kind of wary about copyrights, but, I know no one will actually care, so... I'll put up the download code once I get back home and make some final tweaks. Maybe I'll even bundle it with Bed Axe and Find the Load Bearer! :P
Um, we kind of have to care about copyrights, because SmileBOOM (The creators of SmileBASIC) will remove copyrighted material from their servers, and the likelihood of Team 17 giving someone the okay to upload a version of the game us low. Someone could create a version with different assets and similar gameplay, of course.
Hold up, I got it! I used SPCHR instead of SPDEF, and it works fine now! That said, there has to be a way to add multiple attributes to a sprite in one command, right? If there's a simpler way to do this, please let me know!
The 1 was for #SPSHOW, without it the sprite is invisible. Now I've tried creating two seperate commands, SPSET with the #SPSHOW attribute, and SPDEF with the #SPREVH attribute. Now, while the sprite shows, and there are no errors, it still isn't mirrored... I don't understand why some of these things have been made so much more complicated from PTC...
Anybody know how attributes work? I just want to mirror a sprite, but all I see in the reference is that I need to use an attribute, something about ¦b03¦ and #SOMETHING. I can't figure out how to use it...
There is a 20 MB limit per upload (If you're gold), but that still wouldn't stop you from just uploading separate parts of the game in different slots. Theoretically, you could upload a game 2000 MB in size!
This app isn't going to get any more powerful, I'm sure they made it as powerful as they could on 3DS. That said, you could still make a huge RPG on here! It would take a long time, of course, but there's no limits that would make it impossible!
I have a question about SmileBASIC Ogiri. It says we can only submit unpublished, yet to be released programs, but then says unpublished programs include programs shared on blogs, Miiverse, etc. So I just wanted clarification, are we allowed to submit programs into the contest we've shared with others, or can we only submit programs that we haven't shared yet?
Oh okay, hadn't looked at the code yet to see! It definitely slows down significantly if I use New 3DS settings, but I definitely notice a graphical improvement!
I'm (And many others!) going to have a lot of fun messing around with this, thanks!
Runs fine on my regular 3DS XL! I'll mess around with the settings later when I have more time. Just a tip, if you didn't know, you can use the HARDWARE system variable to determine between a regular 3DS and a New 3DS, so you could automatically raise the quality on New 3DS systems, and automatically lower it on regular 3DS systems.
Gold means you can upload 100 different programs/projects instead of the regular 10, and you can also upload 20 MB size projects instead of the regular limit of 4 MB.
