Thanks for the feedback. Also, should it be top-down or a platformer?
Then I'll start working on the engine. Also, Guzma, can you give me a key to the spritesheet?
So you live on a farm with your fellow Foodies. But then your brother, who was cast out for being a rotten egg, starts a rumor that there's an evil virus on the farm. So all of the Foodies leave and enter the dangerous wild. It's up to you to brave the wilderness and round back up the Foodies!
Aidan, the characters you save should have a bit more variety. They're things like crops and such. Eggbert.. seems like a debatable name. Also, your story seems fine, but here's my take. (you can implement in game.)
Ahem..
(That's probably too much for our first project, but we can just do it piece by piece and maybe even take a break at some point and start a new project.) Concept art for the player. Pretty bad if I do say so myself XD. So, Artists/Spriters, please try to make a better version of this sprite as a start. The best one gets used, but we may include the other ones as secrets.
Pushing/pulling blocks with a yolk tongue, laying yolk traps that turn into blocks when enemies touch them, a basic yolk blaster, and possibly more. And another part is that while exploring you can discover these creatures called Foodies. You can take care of and fuse your Foodies, then you can play as them.
Of course you'll be in the credits, everyone will! Anyways, on second thought, that IDE doesn't seem like a good idea. How about an Adventure/Puzzle game where you play as an egg... thing. (IT'S NOT THAT WEIRD I'LL SEND YOU CONCEPT ART) and you have a special yolk power inside of you. You unlock more and more abilities to use to solve puzzles by:
So, I have an Idea that will sort of be a mixture of all of yours; an IDE+compiler with an all new language that's made specifically for game development! What do you think? (Also Duckymomo are you joining or not?)
