lol the program generates realistic words sometimes too. I pre-screened this list. Was going to post a key but decided not to since it's output can be rather rude at times haha
Hey guys, thanks! As for updating, all of these mini games will eventually make their way into a larger project. The Personal Assistant was initially just debug code to help me playtest, but she was cute enough that I left her in, haha ... mostly these programs are written to help others learn.
Thanks L.! That contest looks cool. This program is just a stand-alone mini-game that's part of my larger project Space Roam Survive Recover. What ship doesn't need a chess-like game. Just don't play with a wookie, haha!
Thanks Harry! You're right, MOD would be more efficient. There are several places in the program where I 'unwind' the logic even further to show different ways of traversing an array etc. It
sometimes helps those (like myself) that aren't good at maths, haha! Knight's Tour is a fun strategy/puzzler that I've never seen on a handheld before so I hope you all like it!
I've written this code for clarity to help others learn. It is formatted, self-documenting and heavily commented. The logic is implemented several different ways to ease understanding. Within you will learn how all the elements of a game are constructed. Such as timers, stats, button control, touch panel, sprites, backgrounds, manually using array for hit detection, loops etc. Hope this helps!
Top screen, where all the action is. Visible are the players ship, the sights to the ships B weapon, and a mine. The ship's direction is changed with the control pad. The [A] button fires a traditional infinite volley shot while the [B] button destroys anything under the sights, which can be moved with the circle pad. The [R] and [L] buttons control speed and holding the [Y] button shields.

Change the Keyboard Function Key Macros, Useful for power-users. Now,while in DIRECT MODE, there's no need to hit [ENTER] after pressing [RUN] or [FILES]. Also you can swap default Projects from the command line. Artifacts (snd, gfx) left behind from programs can be cleared too.
Sadly, these settings aren't permanent and will be reset to the defaults when SmileBASIC closes.
