That's totally okay! Take your time. Btw is the program going to have touch screen support? Like, you could tap on the screen to make a planet, or drag while still pressing to give it speed.

I'm actually the top student in my math class (I can do calculus), but I'm not the best when it comes to programming (and yet I made a 3D engine. I'm still not awesome tho). How's about you let me fiddle around with your project?

@Oscar It was pretty much to see if i could make an object orbit automatically. I have no idea how to make actual gravity though. If youd like, you could write me a little demo code. I have a great understanding of SmileBASIC's language.

Gravity simulation?

So I'm trying to make two objects attract towards each other using Newton equation of gravity, but I have no idea how to code this. If someone could make a little demo I can understand by reading the code.

Movement is "icy" on purpose. It's actually kinda fun. The ship's green line indicates where your Home Planet is, while the blue line is what direction you're going in. It's length represents speed. You can go really fast if you use the Circle Pad, Circle pad pro, dpad, and ABXY Buttons in one direction. Might change this depending on what kind of game this becomes.

v0.1 PRE-ALPHA Notes: Planet creation is still WIP. Code is there but needs tweaking. Only 1 control scheme exists at the moment. Go into options on the touch screen and tap "1" for the controls. May implement a custom control option. Gravity is turned off by default. It tends to make you go farther out each revolution (breaks the laws of physics, nice), and you can't move around. [Cont'd]

New little tech demo I made. I might make this into an actual game if I can figure out how to implement gravity (its there, but I used angles to determine movement) WE54834J
