Sprite collision can be a bit tedious. In my opinion, I'd say the best way to go about it is to have 5 different collision boxes, one active hitbox for the main loop, and one for each direction of movement. Each box should be redefined as you need them. Hope that helps

Well, I'm getting to the point where I need to focus on graphics again. Unfortunately, since I won't be coding I won't have any non-spoiler screenshot updates for a while. But my next post will show off the town when its done. This is the start of the town

Thanks for the Yeah! That made it a lot easier to find this again. Here's what I found, BGSCREEN 0,X,Y DIM ARRAYNAME[0] LOAD"DAT:SC_BGNAME_L0",ARRAYNAME,0 BGLOAD 0,0,0,64,64,ARRAYNAME Also if you use XSCREEN after BGSCREEN, it resets BGSCREEN back to the default, so use it before the above example. Hope that helps

Thanks for the input, but that's all one bg layer. This is just a room for testing things like gravity and movement. when I feel like all the character functions are done I'll make more complicated rooms with 3D potential

I'm not sure how I would include 3D right now. I'm just focusing on the mechanics at the moment. But I can say that eventually I'm going to redo the graphics. These are just placeholder sprites that I'm using for the mechanics. I'll work on 3D if it won't look forced when I improve the sprites

Maybe you noticed the item/element text in the top of the screen. That's just a placeholder for the HUD, but each item/element are used to explore the world and solve puzzles. The boots will flip gravity.

Are you kidding me? I'd never dream of quitting on you guys. I didn't know what to expect when I posted this, but all of your support is unreal. I'll keep you all posted with occasional screenshots and explanations. Who knows, maybe the pics will be a daily thing.
