Sprite collision can be a bit tedious. In my opinion, I'd say the best way to go about it is to have 5 different collision boxes, one active hitbox for the main loop, and one for each direction of movement. Each box should be redefined as you need them. Hope that helps
Type this:
SPCOLVEC management number
SPCOL management number,TRUE
(Do above for each sprite)
WHILE 1
Varible=SPHITSP(Management number,Management number)
IF Variable==TRUE THEN...
I was just wondering because my 3ds said you haven't been online in 4 days. I can't figure out how to work the enemies... Maybe I could find someone to help on that and I'll pass along the code to show you how to do it!
yea that might be a good idea and i turned off the ability for people to see my online status because one of my "friends" whould not leave me alone. i will turn it back on now.
Oh alright! I was just worried I did something that upset you. While I was away, I got this cool game called Terraria! It's really cool. It reminds me of the game someone made called Petit World.
realy sounds fun :).so i see you also got paper jam how is it so far? i'm going to be getting it next week i just have to cash my check :)[super hyped]
ps. why would you think you upset me?
I thought I was making you work too much on my game and you didn't like that. Also, Paper Jam is awesome! Paper Mario is really strong, and can do a ton of cool stuff! The amiibo support is great and helps me quite frequently in battles!
no i enjoyed it. if you need help with things like varriables and loops i will be more than happy to help you ,but i am still learning how sprites work(as you can see) so i got stuck. btw how has your week been.
You can have a backround collision as well, but it works a little bit diferently. To check for a backround tile, you'll need your X/Y positions divided by 16, otherwise you won't be checking where you are. Also it will ignore uneven divisions. 160/16 and 175/16 will both read as 10.
