Working on PetNet, but I ran into a problem. The data in the saved "DAT:" file seems to get distorted at some point in the process. I might try using a "GRP:" file as a storage medium.

If anyone's wondering the WAIT commands are actually necessary since there must be a slight delay between each MPSEND command. So that means the only way to make data transmit faster is converting it into a denser format.

Hey guys, this is Randy. I recently completed a simple version of PetNet. Unfortunately though, I only have one DS which means that I won't be able to tell for sure if it will work. So, would anyone be willing to test it? Unfortunately, it takes around 26.5 minutes to send a complete graphical page, so I hope to improve that soon.

Okay then, I'm completely fine with that.

PetitModem
I have a question about PetitModem. Basically, what do I need to use it and how do I convert a text file to code (so that I can write code on the computer)? Thanks in advance, this will allow me to get my game done in the span of a few days instead of a few weeks.

I might (might) choose to take a break from the SmileBasic in 1-2 weeks and try to figure out how to hook up a raspberry pi A as a server. Maybe...

I'm making an internet thing in which a 3ds would be able to connect to the computer via an audio cable. Then, a software in which people could download to there computer would connect to a server I'm setting up which would basically allow everyone with SmileBasic to have their own isolated internet. I'm currently working on it and hope to get it all up soonish.

The idea I have right now is to use an analog signal for the Y since the Y has 255 controllable pixels (I think). Also, 2^8 is also 256 whereas 0 would be unusable, so really 255. As for the Y and other things I haven't quite figured it out yet.

Here's the graphics so far for PetNet(I know, they're pretty pathetic). I hope to finish it today and tomorrow. After that I'll most likely take some time to figure out the MIC commands. And after that I'll post a forum topic on SmileBasicSource so that I can figure out the transmission system and let other people give me their input.

PetNet (the program I'm developing) is going super well. I hope to get it up by halloween so I can broadcast some stuff and let people watch holiday films. Just a thought.

I remember talking to you (I'm PetNet). Right now I am quickly learning microphone usage for the purpose of transmitting data. Look at my profile description.

I got the game
Hey guys, I got the game. And I know this will sound pathetic, but can everyone please make a SmileBasicSource account so that we can preserve the community here. Also, if anyone does have a SmileBasicSource account then could you please explain microphone usage?

I'm just curious, how would you be able to launch a kickstarter campaign if the backers wouldn't get any reward?

@D©Mr.something.... The 3ds uses Infrared light as it's method of communication. I think me and you get what I'm trying to say. Basically, even if you cannot DIRECTLY control the IR port, if you found out what data created what light pattern you might be able to figure out a method to INDIRECTLY control the IR port.

----It works because they both use infrared light---- OK?

So, the 3ds's multiplayer works based of this thing called "Infrared light" (Basically invisible light). This is also how petit computer shares files (By using infrared light). So, since they both use infrared light, could you possibly use petit computer to interact with real games? Does this make sense?

Sorry if this is wrong (I have very little knowledge of the topic), but if it is public wouldn't it be beta release and not alpha release? Please correct me if this is incorrect.
