If anybody has played the "alpha" I put out, I want to say I was having trouble with this class. In this version I'm going with the original idea, which was the ranger moving through all terrain types like they were plains.
I'll keep posting these with a different class each day, then I'll post their abilities starting with the warrior. I'm hoping when I finish that I can have a demo with the first level ready to upload.
This was my first major project when I first got Smile Basic. Back then it didn't even have a name, but now I've started rebuilding it from the ground up now that I'm a lot more familar with the differences between this and Petit Computer. I guess this is kind of an alpha of my Queensmen project. I lost motivation and haven't touched it since, but thought I should dig it up
I almost have a fully functional intventory system, I just have to make the items do stuff. The next project after that is a battle system. That's going to be a big project though.
Working on the touch screen! Also, you can see other party members. They can be hired to join your party, but don't have special abilities like the main classes. That doesn't mean they aren't important though!
It just dawned on me that I haven't made a post in about a month. Here's proof that I'm still working on this. There's a couple shops that are giving me trouble but after that I'll work on the battle system
While I can't show it off very well, I've made a character select screen with touch controls. I know it's not too impressive but it is a good chance show off the first 4 classes/characters. Hope you like unlockable characters
Well, it's finally time for the last update I'm posting here for this game. First off, I want to thank everyone who's supported this game! It probably would have never gotten this far without every yeah and comment it got. Second, I'm moving this project to my computer so it can see a steam release. I'll talk about that more later. However, that doesn't mean I'm done with Smile Basic.
Oops... I did not know this could happen. Well now we know I guess. And in case anybody is wondering I just wanted to see if you could throw bombs over the walls
For anybody that's been wondering about this game, it isn't dead. I apologize for the hiatus but I've needed to figure out some important things so I'm back, but the next update I post will most likely be the last one I make here. Just a reminder though, I'm still working on it
Heres a fun challenge, jump from rock to rock to get to the ledge at the top. Also for the record, There Isn't a key yet. when I try to get more things working together, more glitches pop up. Thanks for your patience everyone!
Probably the toughest part of making puzzles for the first level is not having any tools to solve them. So the first level will mostly have puzzles based off your surroundings.
Apparently, some bugs are harder to fix then others. I can't fix the feathers without messing up the sword and vice versa. So I'm taking a break from this to work on level design. Also this screenshot is taken from an extremely laggy attempt at fixing the damage bug
