Okay.
1. Start SmileBASIC.
2. On the right side of the menu in the middle, you'll see a button that says upload/download projects. Click that.
3. Upload the program you want to publish to the cloud.
4. Press the publish button and select that file that you uploaded.
5. Click the download button to see the key for your program and share it!
Hope this helps!
Hope this helps! Welcome to the community!
P.S. One more thing, be patient. It takes a little while before you can make complicated games. Start small and work up to your first game. Have fun!
Hi, Brenden!
Here are a few things you can do.
1. Go to the SmileBASIC website. There is some good stuff there. (Like a list of all commands you can use.)
2. Go to smilebasicsource.com . There are a ton of example programs, tutorials, and other programmers.
3. Google for SmileBASIC videos. One guy I like is Petitprofessor3D. Helped me a lot.
4. Use this community a lot.
Actually, I do have one thing I want to change if I can.
Do you know of a way to hide a loading dialog? I need to load the sprite sheet, but I feel like the dialog just gets in the way of the game.
Thanks!
Hi, Luis!
I think my game is pretty much ready!
Here is a screenshot of the public key. Could you please test it out and tell me what you think? Also, please tell me what I can improve! :)
Finally, is it okay if I try to advertise this discussion post a bit?
Thanks for answering all my questions and for the help! Hope Bubble Ram is going well too!
Hi, Lukas!
1. Go to smilebasicsource.com for a ton of example programs!
2. You can also make RPG's, Shooters, racing games, calculators, utility programs, and more!
The 3ds may not be as great a machine to program on as a computer. But you can make some cool stuff!
The GM numbers are what controls MML music that you make.
For example,
BGMPLAY "@44T200CDEFGAB".
This would play Do, Rei ,Mi, etc at a tempo of 200 as a violin(I think I got the right number.
So, find the GM instrument you're looking for and then put it into an MML string with an @ symbol before it.
Hope this helps!
Hi, Luis:
Thanks for the input! I'll try to make it have a bit more of a holiday feel though. Maybe some music and a santa hat for the cat.
How much time do I have left till it's time to submit?
Thanks again! I can hardly wait to see what the end result of the group project will be!
Hi, Vincent:
I'm still learning too, but I found a great website. It is called smilebasicsource.com. It has a ton of tutorials, other programmers who can help you, and a bunch of public keys all in one place!
Hope this helps!
