By the way, I'm interested to hear how smoothly this runs on original 3DS models - I believe I conditionally lowered the rendering quality enough to maintain 60FPS, but I only have a New 3DS to test on.

Spooky Scary Skeletons

Runs fine on my regular 3DS XL! I'll mess around with the settings later when I have more time. Just a tip, if you didn't know, you can use the HARDWARE system variable to determine between a regular 3DS and a New 3DS, so you could automatically raise the quality on New 3DS systems, and automatically lower it on regular 3DS systems.

Yes, that's what I did, but I wasn't entirely sure I reduced the quality by the right factor. Good to hear it runs well!

Is there a clock difference between old 3DS and new 3DS? If there's someone who has both, maybe run a benchmark? PS: Looking forward on this game being turned into Ninjas for the comp! :D

I changed the code to give me max power. It plays more like Faceball that way. I'm surprised the kitty can get killed by bomb. Thumbs up! Suggestion: Make sound for the monster, too. That way will give you the chills, especially if you cannot see it. A sudden attack from behind feels unfair to me.

It would be cool if you made an all out Adventure game in this Engine, with Characters and Dialogue and Crazy Stuff. I'd Definately play it.

Oh okay, hadn't looked at the code yet to see! It definitely slows down significantly if I use New 3DS settings, but I definitely notice a graphical improvement! I'm (And many others!) going to have a lot of fun messing around with this, thanks!

Sorry for the late reply, but I don't think it would. Besides, the Z coordinate is also used for draw order so skeletons can hide behind walls.

Yeah, it doesn't do anything, I tried. 60fps on new 3ds at quality 1? I get about half on my old 3ds with the HARDWARE detection quality scaler thingy in spooky maze.
