◆◆◆SmileBASIC – Bug Storeroom (11/2015)
Takaki Kobayashi of SmileBoom here!
I am adding a new bug storeroom in response to the launch of SmileBASIC.
If you find any new problems, please post them in the comment section below in order to share bug information found from today (11/2015) on.
===================
When writing a bug report, please try to write what you can about the following points:
-Public Key (if it’s the bug is something that you can definitely reproduce)
-Bug Symptoms (your explanation of the problem)
-What you were doing right before the bug occurred (Give us an idea of what was going on—For example, did you just leave the program running for a long period of time?)
-A screenshot of when the bug occurred (if you can take a screenshot)
This is all going to be information that helps make it easier for the developers to recreate the same scenario you encountered. The bugs that are easiest to recreate will be worked on first.
===================
<Caution>
Running the public keys written in bug reports may cause SmileBASIC to freeze. Please do not run any of the public keys written down in this storeroom. If you are really unlucky, you could lose the programs you are working on or image data may disappear. This is only a place to post public keys in order to share information with the developers. Please be careful.
===================
We will continue to make adjustments in order to make our product as stable as possible. Thanks for supporting SmileBASIC!
Furthermore, please also check out the “Updates and Bug Information” section on the official SmileBASIC website for information in regards to bugs we find and revisions.
★★★SmileBASIC Request Registration Corner (11/2015)
Takaki Kobayashi of SmileBoom here!
SmileBASIC has finally been released, so we are making a new section for your requests too.
We have prepared a new place for you to send in your requests to SmileBASIC. Please send your requests here, such as commands you want us to add or new functions that you think SmileBASIC needs. We will use this data as a reference for our future product development.
I’m sorry, but we can’t guarantee that we will be able to meet your requests. However, please feel free to leave us a comment!
This is Kobayashi, the official character of SmileBoom Co.Ltd.
SmileBASIC, a development platform allowing to create games on Nintendo 3DS, has been available.
It took more than a year since we have made the announcement back in 2014 during Tokyo Game Show but we finally managed to make it available for North America.
In the Miiverse community for Japanese version of SmileBASIC there is a good atmosphere that experts answer questions from beginners very tenderly. I guess that every beginner tends to ask similar questions like "I don't know what to do with SmileBASIC" but I would like experts like you to answer them with your great experience and expertise. It is my belief that the community is the place to bring up all future enjoyable programmers. Of course, my company is fully committed to helping out all of you having any type of questions.
There are 2 different verified characters in the Miiverse.
The first one is "smile5884" who takes care of questions you have, problems you found and additional features you want.
The other one is "smileDr. (Hakase)" who manages a warehouse where all available public keys are stored. The public keys has been stored since Nov. '14 when the Japanese version of SmileBASIC was released and you will enjoy games/contents created by Japanese users by having a public key to download. (Please note that older games/contents should have a different public key from the original) smileDr. will talk more about the public key warehouse.
All of us are based in Japan and it should take longer to respond back due to the time zone difference but we always trying to be as much flexible as possible in order to support users outside Japan. Please feel free to contact us with your questions or problems. You can talk to us in English.
Looking forward to seeing your great works which can compare favorably with the works by Japanese users.
I am expecting that lots of enjoyable programmers are born and will play an important role in the Japanese gaming industry.
