Look, it sounds dumb but actually CS is freeware. If you dont believe me go to cavestory.org and youll find the official website where you get it free. The console ports of the game are actually based off of Cave Story+. Hence, as long as we credit Dokustu Monogatari (original creator) we should be good. Cave Story is such a good game. wanna port the original?

No offense, but you're just being another beggar, Yeah CS is great and may be port-able to SB, but fact of the matter is it's purchasable through the eShop. Why take the extreme effort to port a game, basically to avoid paying for it.

If anything, it should be an inspiration. CS being a one-man dev for a very successful game. Even over the course of a 6+ year game. Good things don't come to those who take shortcuts.

Like Aaron said, you can just buy the game on the eshop. I think you just don't want to pay for it, like the people who supported FnafSb. And if i'm not mistaken, Cave story is even coming-out on the switch! So, just buy it, and don't try to make a version of the game that will more than likely be worse than the original.

Good point after all its under $10 but CS+ has extra features that some people don't care about. Although you are right. Besides, I wouldn't want to decrease sales on Nichalis's already available port and litterally SB and CS3D are almost same price. Not alot of people buy VVVVVV on the 3ds anymore so yah

Also, the console versions may be the same as the original at first, but it still classifies as Cave Story Plus since there are extra features. Hence, not original. The original one only currently exists for PC and a PSP homebrew title. The original is about the same but the only menu options are New/Load game, because it doesnt come with extra stuff like the steam version, CS+ did

since nobody agrees to help i cancel the project. I wasnt ev3n gonna start rly-- i just thought someone might be interested. Afterall, it would at least be cool if someone could emulate the soundtrack using MML (btw, the original actually uses MML and MIDI for music--no audio files) Have a nice day, just a thought
