if you mean could not reach stairs, then you know that you can dig right? if you mean too many dragon babies, there's ways around that too! :)
The first BETA version will include many updates and play enhancements. Poison creep, scrolls and throws are implemented now and the ID system is being built.
As always, this a supported WIP ... keep a look out for the latest updates.
Seeing that in 13 depths you never dug gold I'm guessing you didn't know about tunneling. Choose Melee and press B while facing the direction you want to dig. The built in helps gives more tips.
Also, your stats show that you didn't kill enough to level up and dove deep quickly. The game punishes this playstyle...it's a roguelike :)
The mossy stone gives you better strength to kill them with melee and the orb helps kill them with magic... but the game still needs a lot of work before it's actually fun, i know ... there's still no real incentive yet to play it, even for fans of roguelikes ... working on fixing that! :)
Just want to add that even though I'm aware of most of the gameplay issues I *really* appreciate the input ... it helps the game become better.
Some comments on the interface would help too. The goal is to have a rogulike with an easy interface but difficult gameplay, not unfair. In version 0.0.5 it's unfair to the player. Some of those issues are addressed in version 0.0.6 but not all yet...
Once a win condition, shopkeep and hero cave (persistant digging level untouched by perma-death) are implemented and some real combat formulas are worked out then the 1st BETA version (0.0.6) will be released with a shopkeep naming contest...
