Island Wars 2 testing version is here! i will say IT IS A EARLY BETA! it dosent include much yet (honestly nothing but cutting trees, hurting a crab, raining, pausing and talking to the trader NPC) it does not have most stuff and i took out most bottom screen buttons because they weren't ready yet. this is to see how you guys like it only, will be up for about 2 days ONLY. Cool stuff! My only complaint is that the text color and text box color when talking with the trader are too similar, so it was challenging to read. Other than that pretty cool!

yeah, i really wanted to add that in so lol, if you look in the code at it, its all messed up. i really wanted to make him talk so i made that in like 10 mins, the final one will be much better. but i tried to make him "random" or "give me your money" lol. but thanks for trying it!

It's surprisingly fun just because you can walk around(idk, it's just fun lol). But I do have some things to say. First, you walk pretty fast, I would say you should slow the character down a bit(a third to half the speed?) And secondly, the trees are a little hard to chop down because, first, you're moving really fast and you have hit the tree at the perfect point, which together make it really *

Hard all together. But the title screen was amazing! Where did you get that music and sound effects? I don't remember them in the smile tool. So the title screen was a 9/10 and the game was a 7/10 (just my opinion though lol)

So I was looking through the code and noticed that some of the arrays have VAR and others don't. Isn't VAR only for STRICT mode? I'm probably asking the most obvious question right now

ok so first, the speed is really fast for testing purposes so I don't have to spend a lot of time walking over to something to see if I coded it right, though I will fix it in the next update, I might also be adding the potions to it too. so about the VAR, they are not for arrays, arrays use DIM, actually you could take every VAR out and still have it run fine lol. anyways I just put it because

its good practice for coding (idk, I was told this) plus it looks less disorganized lol. but most of those hold the sprite management number, so when I need to do something to the sprite I can name it instead of having to see what number it comes from, like VAR CAT=12 SPSET CAT,5

oh and about the music its made by rwiig..? I think, in his free music thingy, so I did not make it but I chose it because of its cool sound effects, also if you dident see rain run the file island_wars_t3 and stop it then push again until it has the rain (just a quick way to do it)

When you say "free music thingy" does that mean it's like a program or.... idk what else it could be

oh and lol about the trees I will try to change that too

yeah its a program full of free bg music, I think like 110 songs.. ill try to find the key
