O.o you are losing motivation? But miner life is awesome! With more areas, scenarios and things for the player to do you have a really good title there. Add side quests so the people pay more than the orest is worth if you collect certain ammount for them etc.
And think of the mudkip! Let it motivate you!
Working on a huge project can be desolating, so distracting yourself with something else once in a while can be really stimulating. You could take a power nap, go on a walk, or even make tiny, mindless, fun experimental programs between your projects. Just make sure to rest your mind a bit.
I've actually have been making mini programs here and there for mostly experimenting purposes, but I'll definitely take your advice. Thank you!
By the way, have you ever played Miner Life yet, Oscar? I've been wanting to ask you that, and I wondered if you like it. :)
Yeah man I hear you, my rpg has taken so much time and I've almost completely stopped coding it for 2 months now. I'm finally starting to get motivation again. It's like artist block, it comes in waves.
I Love Miner's Life. Here are suggestions: More Area's, more sprite diversity, not fully changing blue or yellow when activating the sprite in the shop, random events like avalaches and eruptions that reward the player for not dying, a health bar, obstacles that require certian items from the shop, more towns, an upgrade system for your house and pickaxe, more towns with diverse shops and new ores
:( I already lost motivation, thats why I only got good enough to make text based 1 player pong. And whenever i try to start again, I get mad because I cant do anything and stop projects to make it easyer halfway because I had no motivation in the first place, and no one EVER EVER answers my questions, one time I ask for help and some guy said I made a typo, and left. I cant find any good help...
on collisions or graphics. Or how to use grp1, 2, or 3 for sprites. Text in arrays too. N# comiler has no help, and object oriented programming (oop) sucks. Not even petit professor or smilebasic source has good help for these. THE BUILT IN INSTRUCTIONS SUCK!!!!! someone help... DX
