I just got SmileBASIC. I've attempted both programming (Javascript) and game creation (Stencyl) before but never got far on either one. Creating my own games is something I've always wanted to learn how to do. Here's hoping this program will give me the necessary tools and instructions I need to make this a reality, and that it turns into a positive, creative outlet for me with a fruitful outcome.

I got so much out of the original Petit Computer, and this one is even better. If you keep at it, I think you'll have a good time.

Speaking of, can you tell me what I'm doing wrong here? I put in the 5 lines of code that's on the front page of the website hitting enter in between each one, but after typing 'RUN' and hitting the A button (as the website says) the program doesn't run. I'm stumped.

You have to enter those lines in EDIT mode. Tap the big EDIT button, put the lines in, then go back to DIRECT mode to run it.

one of the methods i use for learning is looking at the code of games i have downloaded via code. you can learn some complex stuff by doing this. i learned how to add bgm, texture packs and player skins to Petit World by looking at its coding.

SmileBASIC is by far one of[or is] the easiest programming language out there.I have made some tutorials and How To's in my play journal if you need help with anything give me a call, ill be more than willing to help out!
