You'll need to learn BASIC through the in-game tutorials as well as some outside study but 10 dollars is too much? Even if you only got it to download and play other people's games it would be worthwhile for that price.

Also to add to my last post BASIC is a simple, easy to understand language even if it's not the most powerful or efficient.

I'm actually from Brazil. My NNID is canadian because there is no brazilian eShop on Wii U. Since I need to pay with an international credit card, all payment is converted to brazilian Real. And the economy here is ruined, which made several currencies get stronger and our own weaker than ever. Videogames have become an extremely expensive way to have fun...
