Did you know, that there are 362 individual application slots in the Home Menu! Now, in addition, each folder can hold 60 applications, so if we multiply 362 with 60, we can come to a to a total of 24,720 application slots!

Sorry it don't work that way. For example my 3DS XL has 428 blocks system memory , one block is 128 kb, added with my 4 gb sdcard it goes up to 24,500 blocks. Some apps take up extra data, too.

But if you get a bigger SD Card, you can have more apps. I have a 16 GB micro SD Card. New 3DS only supports micro SD Cards l:-(

Micro SD is the same as a normal SD card. Also 16 GB that is good! And you can get a 128 GB micro SD, well if you want to pay $50-$100.

A 128gb micro sd card is a SDXC, which I don't think the 3ds supports. You can only use SDHC cards which I think go up to 32gb.

True, true. I was just saying if there was an SD card the 3DS could use to hold each app.

The new 3ds xl has a limit of compatibility of a 32 gb micro sd card. (btw I have a 32 gb micro sd card)

@Josiah The new 3ds(xl) can use SDXC just like the normal 3ds.

It says in the manual it can only go up to a 32gb card though:(

The 3ds(new or old) can use SDXC by changing the card to fat32 on a computer ;)

DO NOT get an sd over 32gb, the 3DS cannot handle it It even says so in the instruction manual, 50% of eshop games cant be downloaded because of an "Unknown error" I could even download some games on 32gb on my new 3ds, so i had to downgrade to 16gb, then everything worked

@SıмΞоп It sounds like there was a problem with that 32gb sd card you used and there are some people who use sd cards over 32gb without a problem.
