I'll release the game on Steam and possibly 3DS eShop if the 3DS isn't out of date by the time I release it. I have so much planned and so much done. I'm really excited about it, I can't wait to show you all. Another thing, I forgot to do something.
I haven't been working on In The Dark SB because I've been working insane amounts of time on another game. I might just cancel In The Dark SB because it's not needed anymore. The current game I've been devoting my time to is a unique one. It's something that's never been done before (from my understanding).
I've already made a better 3D terrain generator for a game i'm planning to release on the Nintendo Switch. It has a similar idea to this one, but it's 3d. The generated terrain is low poly (think of Doom, quake and etc). I could make it high poly, but I'm going for a retro look for my game.
Another thing, I've been working with the SmileBASIC language for roughly 4 years (ever since Petit Computer for DSiWare). I really can't give any good tips except that you should just experiment with everything. I didn't have any help so I had to teach myself by looking at how other people made games. @samuel
First off, this is actual gameplay (for the main menu). Second, I was the one who created FNaFSB and yes it did get taken down from a C&D notice. (thought I should clear that that up for you @Samuel). Third, there is a deep story and lore behind this game, but I won't spoil it just yet. ;) And thanks! @squidy
Hello everyone, I'm re-announcing In The Dark SB! I won't release it until I feel it's complete. So, when I do finally release it, I probably won't make any updates. Also, the gameplay has changed so dramatically that it's practically a different game altogether! You should grab another pair of pants, you'll need them. XD
What algorithm are you using? If you want to use an advanced Terrain generator, I recommend using mine which I'll release next friday (I've been working on it for 2 months, roughly), but you can make your own if you want.
Looks like my terrain generator has competition. XD Still, nice engine, but mine is a bit more complex. (Due to biomes and trees and etc) anyways, what formula where you using? Perlin Noise? (Aka Simplex Noise) Or some other formula?
Well.... I'm done-ish. I have a few more ideas that I could implement to make the terrain generation better (besides fix hoe the trees are drawn). Then I could start working on the collision (which is easy).
No, it's not canceled. In fact, I have a lot planned for this. I also recommend reading the book "Lord of the Flies" for two reasons. 1. It's a great book 2. It's the insiration for my story
