Mode7 isn't really the key choice for making a game as it's really slow and is really hard to work with. It would probably be almost impossible to make a Mario cart game with one.
Oh wow, we're still figuring out shooting bullets and we're already talking about drones and upgrades! I like the ideas, we just need to take this one step at a time though. I'm probably sounding like the bossy, control freak guy, but that's just what I think.
When you keep saying you need help loading bg, I'm assuming you mean using bgload to load maps, if so, go to *person*'s latest play journal, he made a post with code for how to load a map.
Oh wow, very cool.
*looks at post limit* *goes into closet* *silenced yelling comes from closet* *walks out of closet* This is my last post, hmm.
Also, I understand, at least youre actually trying compared to me waiting at the stewart response waiting room lol.
I feel like I could start working on it if Stewart could just answer a few of my questions about his code so I can get the gun thing down. It's really pointless to try and work with something that you don't understand.
When you're making gun sprites, make sure you put them in the middle area of his hand space because that's where we're going to have the bullets shoot out of, right in front of the sprites face basically.
Hopefully you don't mind me asking a few questions about the shovel game also.
One main thing I'm confused about is how CALL SPRITE is linked to UPDATE SHOVEL. Is it something built into SB that does so?
The reason I'm confused is because there's no variables or functions that are named SPRITE.
Also, I don't think multiplayer would be a necessity as no one (I don't think) has another person to use SB games with, it would be cool to have in the game, but would be almost completely useless. (Unless you count other systems owned by the same person lol)
