i am just learning sb as it is. lowerdash seems like i would have to learn from scatch-as if i didnt know anything like printing a name on the screen. i learn from doing. compare and contrast. (this is how you load background 0,1,2 in sb --- this is how it is done i lowerdash). lowerdash looks so much cleaner than sb i would love to learn it but i dont even know where to start.

i have looked at lowerdash but i just dont get how i would convert my program into lowerdash. to learn lowerdash would be to learn a new language. wher would i learn it?

i think i may be wrong about making it transparent. you could make a custom srite circle (make one 32X32) then change the scale it will look cleaner than a 16x16. i do know that sprites can be made transparent (0-255 0 being clear and 255 solid and any degree in-between). you also can move that circle around seeing it is a sprite.

like this? you pick a background color, then make a circle, then paint (not fill) the circle. you should also be able to change the transparency and z coor.

i got smile basic because when i was in my teens i got a 'comadore 64' and tried to do some basic but then life happened. i look at programing in sb as a game itself. to me itis one big logic problem to be figured out. trial and error is my most used approach but never shy away from help. so thanks to all again.

nice job. i love these game types. i see you used lowerdash. as you may have guessed, with the help you have already given me, my 'basic' knowledge is beginner at best. how would i learn lowerdash? is it difficult to learn? it looks much cleaner than sbasic.

help with game progress save
can anyone help? how would i implement an in-progress game save in my game. i am looking to be able to be able to save and restart at the same map location and retain all progress (items, experience, weapons, scrolls, etc.). if i am not wrong backup would not do that.

why does the sp def page show all those strawberry sprites? then they repeat the first 1480+ sprites and all the strawberry ones again. how are they used and how would you access them to create more custome sprites. when you go to paint you only see the first set of sprites.

in my program program, 'prg:0', opens program 'prg:3' for text. this is event trigered. how do i get the 'sc3=1 in the prg:0 screen shot to be acknowledged in prg:3 without writng line code in prg:3 sc3=1. am i making sense

Litterbox help
i am using litterbox and the song i want to program has 34 measures in 3/4 time. the measure button only goes to 20 how would i increase the measures, or do i have to cut-and-paste in text mode? also-what is 'pattern' buttons used for.
