Truth is, beats me. It doesn't have to make sense, in a world where plumbers stomp on walking mushrooms in process of retrieving a princess who was captured by a giant turtle (I mean, that makes good sense, right?), boy dinosaurs might as well lay eggs. :P Doesn't matter, as long as it's fun, people will play it.
