I once tried to transcribe a Scratch program into legit code, i failed because either the algoritm made use of Scratch-specific commands (like the pen), or i was too dumb to transcribe it correctly.
But beyond that, no.
@moogle:Scratch is a simple programming language produced by MIT. Its really easy to learn (easier than SB) and its fun. You can find itat www.scratch.mit.edu There are thousands of projects that other people have made that you can look at (someone made a whole mine-craft game in 2D that works!). You use simple blocks that mean diffrent code, you should check it out. BTW its 100% free with no ads.
Nope, only if you want to get the offline editors (Scratch 1.4 requires nothing, 2.0 requires adobe air). But working on projects online doesn't require anything.
2.0 is WAY better 1.4, there's more blocks, faster speed, easier to use and has a better interface than 1.4. I only use 1.4 when I want to add blocks to Scratch (Its written in Squeak language, so you can change it).
Try searching "download scratch 2.0" and hopefully it will come up. For some reason, the Scratch Team made it difficult to find. Also, the download site should have 3 download options (Windows, Mac, Linux).
how do you set it up on win 10 because i have it tried opening it and the computer is like it could harm your pc reason its not commonly downloaded and ends there
I don't think it really makes a difference... The best most people do is make a website for it.
Unless you want to convert it to Adobe/Google play... There's converters out there for that.
