Hey, I've been wondering about buying this or not, me and my bro have been really interested in the idea of programming games. If I purchased this how difficult would it be to learn to program? Obviously I wouldn't learn it in a day but I'm hoping if I try hard I can learn SmileBASIC.

smile basic is fun to use if you know enough to make a simple (or complex) game out of nothing the first commands you should know are print cls acls spset how to use variables and input/linput

yeah what aidan said, its really fun to make games on here and (though it may take some time) you can make some great stuff, I/we will gladly help you learn it if you get it, plus the games already made are really awesome and way worth it.

It would take a little while, making the gravity and all that, but not really long.

Oh and by the way CG64, you program with other languages besides smileBASIC. Javascript is a good one to learn also, but you will have to do it on a computer, not a 3ds or a wiiU. A good website to learn it on is khan academy. Khan academy is all free!

yeah its fun (sorry for commenting late! never got a notif that you commented here..) anyways, for mario it would as aidan said be easy-ish, theres would be a few main parts, 1 jumping/gravity, 2 Background collision (stopping the sprite on bg blocks) and 3, enemys/AI

sure np, khan is really fun too, but I haven't done much learning coding there.

You should also check out electrical engineering on Khan Academy too.

There is also a free app called soloLearn that teaches coding.

Code Academy is another free coding source.

I learned a lot of coding languages in those free sources.

Does anyone know of any other free coding websites?
