Is it possible to put in more than one character sprite sheet into a game?

One would think so. I'm definitely not an expert when it comes to SB but i think you can use multiple sprite sheets in a game, just as long as you don't use two at the same time. But IDK, there may be a way to use two sprite sheets at once.
