so as ive found all you really need it collision for blocks, gravity and easily made collision type (meaning not having to put a ton of code for one thing)
well i asked nathaniel (the one thats really good at programming) to teach me how to do it and he said sure so ill know soon, btw hes gone for like 5 days (3 i think now) so gotta wait till he gets back
but if he does it will be easyer to do
its a story and player based RPG about escaping an endless portal/abyss of enemys by defeating the boss of a tech company who takes innocent children and people and turn them into robot slaves. It sounds like a horror game but its really not. its a normal RPG and its gonna be really fun.
i love it and it has great potential.
ill try to help in any way i can, but it think for battles it will need to be side scrolled.
also please no turn based battles i beg of you..
just because they are really uh (in my opinion) not realistic at all, i like real time battles where theres are no taking turns, in a real battle you dont take turns or have time to think.
you go and attack, anyways its your choice but i just rather irt battles. (itr is in real time)

Sorry for coming in like this, but i think a turn-based battle system would be a better choice than real time since most people (i can't speak for everyone, or really anyone) are probably more used to turn based battles.
Do what you want, but i think you should make another post asking what battle system type it should be.
Never rely on one person's thoughts and opinions on something.
