^^Yeah, but you literally only had a 16x16x2 (Yes, you could only build up 2 blocks high) space to build in, and it ran at like 10 frames per second. It was a cool tech demo, that's for sure, but it wasn't any fun to play. It could obviously be done better now in SmileBASIC, but I still don't think it's powerful enough to run an actually fun version of Minecraft.
@mystguy12 The Dsi only has 2 ARM Cpus and the 3ds has an ARM9 dual core/ARM11 single core and 128MB of FCRAM. The discrete gpu on the 3ds would be more powerful than the Dsi because it's newer but on the Dsi it's like a gpu from 2005ish. Now how would they run 3D graphics on an ARM processor? The resolution would have to lowered. I'll have to write a second part.
I want to see minecraft for this once i get the game I want to assemble a team. Im using the old 3ds and not the fancy new one with better processing so we will have to make it work on both and also guys just go download the free cubecreator 3d demo its also a minecraft clone.
@kyle I don't think you need the new 3DS/Xl for MC because it has the same processor (ARM9/ARM11). The only differences are: a terrible circle pad that doesn't do anything, a way more complicated cartridge slot (very annoying) now why would they put the cartridge slot on the bottom?!?!, and, 2 extra shoulder buttons. Like we can't afford a circle pad pro with those buttons of coarse. Nice move Nin
@komodo Well I expected hardware changes to the new 3ds. And I also expected the c stick to work. I tried it at GameStop and my friends new 3ds and it did not work besides it's my opinion anyway.
@komodo I forgot to mention the zl and zr buttons. Now why would they put the cartridge slot on the bottom? And also Why is there a MicroSD card instead of a full SD card? A full SD card has better data transfer speed than a MicroSD card. But still my opinion still stays the same.
I don't like the micro sd card that's about it and what do you mean the c stick doesn't work it works realy well for me. I personally like the game slot in the bottom of the system. And right now your not realy seing what it can do when we start having real games that only work on new 3ds then we will be able to see how good it realy is. I can't wait to see what they do with it :)
@vodoo you know petit computer? well there is minecraft on that if smile basic is better we can port it over i belive the developer is done with it just google minecraft for petit computer.
@komodo Would there be any hardware changes such as the CPU microprocessor And The 128MB FCRAM? I probably could still those new 3DS games because they still have the same ARM9/ARM11 processor. :)
@kyle Yes, I know Petit Computer which for some reason Nintendo decided to remove. Like i was going to download it and suddenly it's gone. btw i'm not bashing Nintendo, I like Nintendo but i don't like it when they remove DsiWare apps with newer apps.
