I completely forgot about PetitModem. Then yes, look into QMIDI and then see if porting your favorite MIDIs works that way.

There used to be a program called QMIDI (Windows), but I don't know if it exists anymore. Plus: There's no way to get programs to the SB without some sort of other method to get programs from .txt files on your SD card that if I mention how, it'll probably get me into trouble. What I mean is even if there was, it'd be a pain to get the generated MML file onto the 3DS

My first BASIC language was QBASIC for DOS (I swear I'm only 16.. I'm not that old)... Then I took a step backwards towards GWBASIC... Then came Petit Computer on the DSi... Made a shell called DSi DOS which was fun. Had its own FS and bytecode and everything I found out that SmileBASIC was coming out... *Cue absolute joy* Got it the moment it came out and fell in love from there.

@flarn2006 I think somebody should make an improved library that does all the housekeeping stuff for you.

Wrong language for this homebrew. Haha. Soon, maybe somebody could make a c interpreter/compiler. There's a C# like language called N# on smilebasic source, check that out.

Writing a bytecode called NBC (Nate's ByteCode). I hope for it to be fully featured and be a potential substitute for SB (I think you understand what I mean). <Pictured is the memory capabilities>

That's pretty cool! Is this to verify that there is no tampering with the file, or is it just one of those cool things you wanted to add? Either way, godspeed, my friend (unless it's already done, which in that case.. . um. .. Good job)

Hey, it's been quite a long time since I've updated this OS on Miiverse. Still working on SB-DOS. I added a bytecode called ABC (Stands for ABC is Basic Code). It comes with an assembler. Documentation coming soon. Anyways, there's more info on http://www.smilebasicsource.com/page?pid=82 Some things I didn't consider when uploading this version: Didn't delete my user file. Forgot to reassemble.

Consider using DATA statements and shoving those into an array. It will tidy up the IF statements, and make the code (Although it does look pretty pleasant already) look a bit more pleasant to look at while possibly editing the program.

Make a binary array and use ASC() to get each individual character (if necessary) and save it as a binary file(DAT:), or use CSV or comma separated values (It doesn't have to be a comma) to distinguish each separate value and store it in a TXT: file.

I recommend downloading the beta and analyzing the code. You can find it here: http://www.smilebasicsource.com/page?pid=357 The key is 43XPB3WD
