How do I make and use a font without ruining my sprites?

Could somebody explain TOUCH OUT? I looked in the manual but it explains it weird. I want to make it so when I touch the screen (anywhere) it starts the game but I have no idea how. Could you also explain the variables STTM and TX and TY. What do they do? HELP!

Lemme rephrase my question from before. *cough,cough* How do I use fonts (I know how to make them) AND my sprites at the same time.

Well, I couldn't progress too much on my tactic RPG but I could implement the options to save and load maps. KEY: [JKKNNX4Y] Also, I'll move the options to change the colours of the teams to the title screen. The next update should let you move the units and see the options for each one.
