As first-timers let me warn you that you will die -- and many, MANY times! But relax, the first run is to familiarize yourself with the eccentricities of this game. Use your death bonuses (Stats/Mana boost) to adjust your HP, Attack, Defense, and/or Speed, and change strategy as needed. Some bosses may deal more damage to you if one of your stats is not high enough, or too high for that matter.
