So, I put a sprite and tested it. It was there. The character is supposed to stand infront of the fire. I put the fire sprite there and the girl sprite disappeared. Please help.

Check the sprite id on SPSET and SPOFS. The characters id should be 0 and the fire should be 1

What Sheepy said, you need a unique sprite id for every single sprite.
