hhhhrgh its so hard trying to make walking animation sprites look good when the character in question has a dang cloak that covers her arms and legs entirely…
You should try making a basic sketch on paper of the animation, then translate it to sprites. It works best when you limit your drawing space (per frame) to an area proportional to the sprite's area. Therefore, its better to use (faint) grid paper.
Also, if you continue to have trouble, you could always try drawing the body, followed by the cloak, to get a better idea of how it's supposed to move.
Nice sprite.
Remeber how you said sprite ideas Were welcome for Copper stone? if your Still working on that project then i have a Sprite you could use. i thought, since its Steampunk, Dosnt steampunk almost always have time Travel involved? so this guy is a Soldier from the Future. his Main attack is a Stun Pistol that Stuns an Enemy making them Recieve 2x the amount of Damage for 10 seconds. this attack (Cont
(Cont.) has a 5 sec Reload time and emits and Energy beam as its Projectile. The Second attack is a Photon Grenade that Does 50 points of Damage and has a 10 second Reload time. and if this is a game where you can explore the World around you, that Boxy thing in the Bottom right Corner is a Scaning Device that can Be used when your Exploring the World. it scans the Area around you and Finds (Cont.
(Cont.) hidden Loot. this Ability has a 2 Min Rload time. In the Top left, the Stick thing is a Time travlers Pattern inhancer. it can Call 2 allies From the Future with the Same Exact Abilities as the First one. These Aliies Stay for 1 day Game time and the Ability has a 2 days Game time reload time. As this Character is So overpowerd, he Should be Reletivly Hard to Find, hidden somwhere.
BTW if you Decide to use this you can Edit these Sprites and tools in any way you want, but keep the Basic Uniform Pattern and all the basic Shapes and Colors the same.
