i have sad news. i have canceled 3 games so far...oh my god. Smile Quest, failed. Smile RP, failed. Candy Fighters, failed. all because i'm not a master at sprites. HOW CAN ANYONE DO SPRITES?! if anyone can help me make custom sprites, i promise everyone il make a game familiar to this one. hope you understand.

Making sprites, specially detailed ones, is a difficult task. And as any difficult task, the way to overcome it is to learn how to solve it, in the same way we learned how to make programs in the first place. Do something for yourself and start learning how to draw and draw different things for practice, in the same way you make code and test it.

@Autz i'm not sure if that helped at all. besides, the first game il upload is like Flight-less. but better. there are 7 characters called Roballends (i don't know if thats a good name for them). and you watch them talk and do stuff, like episodes. plus, they are also kinda like roleplays. it would be fun for players to try out all choices of the episodes and see what happens!

2 key words, learn something new and practice at it, other wise you won't refind your newly learned skills and gain wisdom... sorry too tell you that but that just how it works!...

you got to start somewhere to learn, there tutorials on youtube for smilebasic if you need more info on learning how...

just make sure you get your parents permission before you go on youtube!

But i don't even go on youtube. first of all before i try making sprites i'm making the coding of the most important parts of the game, including the title screen. plus i'm looking through Flight-less's programing to get coding tips to do the same with my game.

how I make sprites, I think of the type of sprite I want and how big it might be, I then clear an area and start making it from the middle of the cleared area, also I usually clear a few other areas to the same amount of area incase I want to copy and paste it to there to test two types of things so I don't have to redo it all, also remember to save a lot, but not too much or because every time

you save it resets the colors you were using. does that help?

@(J.P.) Thats a good way to make sprites. but i got one question in mind...after you made a sprite sheet, how do you edit it?

hmm..? what do you mean edit..? like tweak..? or like setting up the definitions..? or..?

You know! editing the sprites! tweaking them!

uh like I said make different boxes of the sprite you want to edit them try a few different ways until you find one that works best..?
