Do you know how useless the Internet could be sometimes? I tried to teach myself BASIC with the Internet, but it just bailed on me. I was halfway through a good article when I realized the other half hadn't been written yet, yet the article was written 11 years ago! So im like, screw them, and I Google Search more articles. Well, it seems like BASIC is old school now, everyone codes using stuff like Java. I couldn't find anything on BASIC. I guess i'll literally have to teach myself BASIC by just messing around with programs and experimenting with them. Hopefully i'll find my groove. Anyway, i'm trying to make Splatoon for 3DS with BASIC.

How much programming experience have you had?

Some thing you can try: -Looking through the SmileBASIC manual -Use the help feature -Go to the SmileBASIC website and click "Instrution list"

@Gale Storm I took a few coding classes, except the activities we did were SO EASY. All we had to do was connect blocks to move a character. @Lukas Thanks for the tips ill try that out

Old BASIC has little to nothing to do with SmileBASIC. Definitely look through the official manual instead. Most of the experience you'll get will be from experimenting with the program and trial and error.

Also, just so you know someone already made a really good splatoon game. Just keep at it, much easier than Java.

I never heard of someone making splatoon for smilebasic

@Cyclops I think he might be referring to that Japanese clone of Splatoon. It's actually a really fun game, and very well polished.
