*still "aggressively" waits for release information in Europe*

Hey, SmileBoom. You haven't had any updates on a European release since October 13th, 2015. I'm just saying that you should perhaps say what's going on... You know? I don't want another wait like Flipnote Studio 3D/Dr. Kawashima 3DS. ._.

Right now they have 3 priorities on their agenda: 1. Ogiri submissions review until end of February 2. Version 3.3 update (already announced so they had to deliver) 3. Wii U version of Smilebasic (already announced so they had to deliver) Anything else takes a back seat, including the not-yet-officially-announced EU version. They only said they were aggressively considering, not definitely.

Oh... Well... I'll aggressively wait and cross my fingers then... with aggression. :)

Wow, this sucks. Petit computer mk2 was pulled from the eshop a year ago, and the smileboom english site said 'Petit Computer 3 coming in spring 2015!' :(

@Devan: That's like saying "Brain Age and Flipnote Studio for 3DS came out in America and we had to wait as well so stop complaining.".

"Localization costs" is my best guess. The rating costs could also be a hazard (PEGI and USK).

My question to you EU folks: If this English-only version were to directly port over EU, would your French/German/Italian/Spanish neighbors complain? If yes, I predict it'll take an extra year to do 4 additional languages.

They didn't translate Petit Computer into other EU-languages, however they did still release it in other EU countries. I'd be fine with just an English release of SmileBASIC in Germany.

nintendo requires game documentation to be translated as well; eu games usually come out in m5 format(english, german, french, spanish, and italian all in one) this will take quite a bit longer than japanese to english... especially with how smileBoom's team is

I didn't know it was a Nintendo requirement, but if that's true then the EU folks have to wait. And yes when I asked the question, I meant to say the instructions and manuals and all that. The programming language of course has to be English. ABlob, did Petit Computer have English game help/manual only, or in M5?
