It's a programming language. Within it, you can write programs to run on the 3DS, and you can run programs that others have written.

You need it! You can make your own stuff!!!

BASIC is a very simple language.

Check out smilebasic.com and take a read through the online instruction manual. If you've never programmed before, making your own programs might be overwhelming, but the community is busy making games and utilities that you can download and play with it.

BASIC takes a while to learn, but if you don't know how to program, you can always download other peoples games.

Think of it as "For only 10 bucks, you can play unlimited games in all genres you can possibly come up with, even make your own!" Nothing else on the 3DS eshop has this capability.

Ok, well I got it. :D I've never messed with this stuff like ever before so it is kinda confusing, but I just found the glorious question mark button which tells me things. xP Still in the process of understanding everything! Thanks for all your comments! :D
