I can't help but feel a teeny bit ashamed. Kids in the 1970s were doing this casually, but I can't figure out head or tail of it.

CORRECTION - the era of home computer households 1977 to even the early '90s! During the Summer of 1983, I took an APPLE 2 BASIC programming class, and during the 1984/85 school year, my 10th-grade advanced APPLE 2 BASIC programming class!

Why the {admin} don't they teach programming classes in school anymore? You'd think they'd be more relevant than ever nowadays...

Something taught like that today would be 9th graders learning how to create their own websites, or advanced PC internet class in 12th grade, or something... In 2009, 8th and 9th graders were creating their own club websites for the NINTENDO DS-i browser, so maybe that's what the schools are teaching students to do on computers these days, I guess...?

Jon beat me to it lol. Although im not a 90's kid or below i know HECKA LOT about old tech. Print is probably the easiest line of code there is. (btw im sure theres afterschool places you can go or you can learn at home on a computer, youtube, and a programming application.
