Does anyone know if the Cat Mario game is copyrighted? (the rage- quiting one, not the annoying yellow puppet) I could recreate that game with this engine.

Yeah its not Syobon Action is the official name, so if you want to not get copyright issues for having "Mario" in the game call it syobon action and not "Cat Mario" ps. The game was created by a japanease user. cat mario is not Syobon Action, cat mario is a port of it to flash... It doesn't have all of the... levels ported to it, Syobon Action is a .exe file not flash like the website version.

↑Messed up a bit of grammer, but not too much. :/ [continuing] Syobon Action has many painful (I beat them all...my death count was 11,269.) levels, While the flash port only has 12...And Syobon action at the ending tells you to push 0 at the title, That will generate a random (beatable) level. ps. Please include all of Syobon Actions levels...

Yeah, just make sure you don't use Mario assets without altering them first. Nintendo owns those. :D

There is no code. There never will be. To many copyright issues. If you want to play Mario, it only costs five dollars in the eShop. 😀

He could call it something else, but Nintendo owns the sprites and all the characters and designs for Mario, he would have to change every single sprite for it to not have any copyright issues. Though, I wish that since Nintendo is allowing people to download this onto one of their systems, they should allow the use of their characters. That would be amazing Nintendo!

I love nintendo, I really do. I just think that releasing a game with sprites and designs that are already owned, might be a little bit illegal.
