ignore line 23 though, that was just me experimenting with the x axis to see if i could just offset a tile 16 pixels to the right lol but that would probably be better in a for loop, maybe...im a little rusty myself lol

heres how i filled layer 0 with one tile as a background with bgfill, then i made 3 tiles fill across the screen for a "platform" read the 'comments and i would recommend doing that yourself when you start programming always leave comments incase another person needs to read it when you get to more advanced stuff, but these comments are for myself so i can remember the arguements it wants to work

actually it was a classic mistake lol i wrote GPR5 and it shouldve been GRP5

does anyone know if the author updated grp editor and is on miiverse to get key? i have v1.69 thanks. I saved sheet to grp0 and i'm currently cutting out anims any tips or bugs, maybe?

thanks for all the advice, greatly appreciated. ive been skimming through some of thrmanual, using "?" feature to looking for all the generic functions, and have been downloading some programs to see how it all works... its a little funky but looks fun, im not trying to accomplish much here so im sure it will be a fun week.

so the logic would be if player bbox_top and bbox_bottom wall and up and !down, vspeed equal 0 else if down, vspeed equals -2 or whatever

im just starting with smilebasic today myself, but does your bg objects have bounding boxes? im assuming your player will, lets say your bg object does, and that you bg objects bounding box would be checking y+1(bbox_bottom) and your player would be checking y-1(bbox_top). anyways if these two are true i would set your vspeed to 0, hspeed dont change and add an else statement for moving down

just downloaded again and all the files and tiles with the word megaman in it couldnt be found. my suggestion for an re-upload would be to just rename your files fighterbot or FB instead of megaman. idk if that solve the missing sprites but would love to try your game after reading that huge thread on reddit thx!
