That was different from what you said, I'm not mad, and if Smileboom does take this down, It would be because I used copyrighted characters, and not because I reworked and transcribed alot of coding in a game that wasn't meant for that. Especially seeing as so many people do the same thing for other engines and they don't get taken down.
after some research I confirmed that Arcanum stone was taken off of SmileBoom's cloud (idk why) And that Hirai Yukio has no social media plugs I can reasonably find. If he does for some reason, find out about this and has a problem with it, we'll talk it over then. Otherwise, communication with him is about as feasible as the Undertale fanbase calming down
this is an amateur-hour side-project that is kind of a mod, kind of a game, so starting drama about it is about as helpful as a knife in a bowl of ice cream.
Fifthly, calm down with that SJW bulldozer I've heard thousands of times over. If Hiraiyukio would have a problem with this, there is no way to get in touch with him to begin with, but i'll try if that makes you happy?
Firstly, we don't speak the same language, so asking for permission would be difficult
Secondly, He will have credit in the actual game, and it would be clearly established that I didn't program the thing
Thirdly, The actual game was pulled off the cloud some time ago, if i'm correct, so i'm not infringing on his market
Fourthly, this isn't exactly a high budget release,
@TitanicFan
What's keeping me from releasing it again? I know SmileBoom's standards are higher than a kite, but I think I'm more than okay, and if worse comes to worse, they can't rip it off my 3DS, especially if I back it up.
@Brandon
It's not really Mugen-like yet, as I don't know how to edit movesets, but I've figured out how to change sprites, health, speed, jump heights, music, and text.
re
yup, I'm reskinning, poorly bootlegging, and recoding Arcanum Stone in an attempt to understand how some of it works, and I can kinda understand most of it.
mines isn't out yet, it's incomplete and SmileBoom, from what I can tell, doesn't allow programs with copyrighted characters in the cloud. Could be wrong on that
