SmileBoom released the following statement regarding an EU release: "To Petit Computer/SmileBASIC fans in Europe, As soon as we announced the release date of SmileBASIC we are getting lots of e-mails asking the release in European regions. We are considering the European release aggressively and will make an announcement once we made a decision."

While the game has been released in Japan already, several new features have been (and will continue to be) added via updates. Several issues have been discovered and they will be resolved in the next update. [Agentdave7]

[Smile Basic (aka Petit Computer 3) Localization] SmileBoom has confirmed that the game has been delayed and will not be released outside of Japan in Spring 2015. [Petit Computer-will be removed from 3DS eShop] A notification on the EU 3DS eShop stated that the game will only be available until Jan. 31, 2015. NA is probably affected as well. SmileBASIC is scheduled for a Spring 2015 release on the 3DS eShop. It was released in Japan (as Petit Computer 3) on Nov. 19, 2014.
