So, i still haven't gotten a response on how my font looks, but how does this look?
It probably doesn't look the best, but i probably spent an hour drawing this, and putting it together in the code.
I'm tried to make a good hospital-ish font, and this is what i came up with?
How does it look, and is it easily readable? I really need to know because i want to start working on the game that I'll be using this font in.
So i still haven't figured out the answer to my last question, but from now on this program will be called "The Adventure Engine" (Lack of ideas for names).
Currently the engine is in Version 0.7.1 With a newly added in thing where you have to find the map instead of being able to see it from the start.
And again, most of the code in this engine is not mine, it is from GAME2RPG or Dungeontanken.
Ok, i really need help with this.
So I'm trying to make a function where once you unlock a door, it stays unlocked, and then you go through it and you can go back through the door to go back to where you last were, but i can't get it to work... (Again, if you must know I'm trying to edit Dungeon tanken or "GAME2RPG" in the "SYS" file)
I've changed the ladder to a door now, but the placing and size isn't right. I would change it, but because of the way this sample program was programmed, I'm not sure if i would be able to figure out how to do so. Also, if anyone else has a better door sprite, could i possibly use it?
Anyway, after i add a few more things, this should be usable in one of my games.
I finally finished changing the treasure chest to a key! Though, i had to add one pointless option to get it to work like i want it to.
Next up is editing the ladders!
Huh, i can't seem to find the line of code that makes the treasure chest sprite appear? Could someone help me out with this?
(If you are wondering, I'm trying to modify the example game "GAME2RPG")
I'm thinking of making a game with this sort of gameplay style, but i need an easier way to do so, since my way of re-creating this style would make it more complicated to create.
Teaser: Light...
This is just another little teaser for an un-announced game of mine. This teaser may give you all barely any info on the game, but that's what teasers are for!
Anywho, i can't pinpoint a near exact release date, because if i do then it will make me feel like I'm rushing to get the game out, plus i think its a bit early to set a release date for this game.
Ok, so i haven't been working on Y-D-B for awhile, but now i need help with something. That something is making dice. Basically i need to know how to store variables in ANS$ code because I've been trying at it for awhile now, and i still can't find out how to do it.
Lol, i said i would change my mii back after a month, but i really don't think that is possible anymore since my wii u's gamepad charger stopped working, and i don't have my mii saved on my 3DS.
Lol, people got more than they bargained for.
YDB Devlog #2:
So, i haven't gotten to adding in the manual yet, but now i have a question: how would i make something like dice, where it could roll up to a six and then it would take you to that spot? I have the same sort of question for my battle system, because i am going to have multiple different enemies, but i need to figure out how it would randomly pick an enemy.
Thanks - King
YDB Devlog #1:
Alright so from now on I'm going to (hopefully) post a devlog on the progress of the game so that you all can stay updated on how I'm doing in making the game.
Anyway, I'm going to try and add a rules or FAQ menu in a bit, and then I'll have the fun job of making the first game board...
Alright, i would like to announce a side project that i am now working on! And that game is, "Yoshi's electro fat"... Yes i do realize that the name is dumb, but my brother suggested it since the game is going to be a recreation of this board game we made once.
I don't know though, i may just change the name because it is super dumb.
I know that this version of Simeon's program "Fractal canvas" was made specifically for *J.P*, but i couldn't resist at least trying it out!
This picture really makes me want to use it as my favorite post...
