Does anyone know how to make it look as though you are within a room? I want to eventually make Portal-style test chambers w/ objects, but I want to start out simpler. Please let me know.

Has anyone seen/made a game similar to Portal? I think its possible, as a TI-Basic version has been made. For that matter, how does SmileBASIC compare to TI-Basic

I know that this is kinda off-topic, but I figure the engineers and programmers check this page. I'm building a 3d printer using a Lego Mindstorms NXT kit, and I want to know if you have any ideas on turning a 3d file into usable input, as specifying each cross-section will be time consuming.
